Born in Greensboro, NC to Nigerian parents. Youngest of five brothers. Moved to Irmo, SC at age 7. Was a 3-star recruit who chose South Carolina over Georgia Southern and UNC Charlotte. Size and athleticism made scouts take notice early.
🎓 College
South Carolina Gamecocks — 2022-2024
Coaches debated playing him as linebacker or safety — chose safety. Emerged as a star immediately: 78 tackles as a true freshman, team-high. By junior year, named First-Team All-American and First-Team All-SEC. Dominated against Arkansas (11 tackles) and Georgia (14 tackles) early in his career.
⚡ NFL Combine
Showed elite athleticism at the 2025 NFL Combine. At 6'3", 220 lbs, ran a blazing 4.38 forty. 43" vertical jump, 11'6" broad jump. Physical specimen that can cover ground and hit hard.
🏆 NFL Career
Seattle Seahawks — Rookie Season
Seahawks traded up to select him 35th overall. Started immediately and never looked back. In Week 14 vs. Falcons: 2 TFLs, 1 sack, blocked FG, first career INT. Finished with 81 tackles, 11 pass deflections, 2.5 sacks. Named PFWA All-Rookie Team. 5 tackles in Super Bowl LX. Super Bowl champion in year one.
Signature Moment
49ers Divisional Round — January 2026
Seattle destroyed San Francisco 41-6 in the divisional round. Emmanwori didn't just play — he talked. After the game, he took to social media:
"Trash."
One word. That's all it took. He called out the 49ers' "fake energy" and backed it up with his play. Rookie confidence at its finest.
